  • Shih Tzu Puppy Sales Contract

This agreement is made between the Breeder and the Buyer for the purchase and sale of one (1) purebred Shih Tzu puppy. Both parties agree to the following terms and conditions:

    1. Puppy Sale Details

The Breeder agrees to sell, and the Buyer agrees to purchase, one Shih Tzu puppy for the total price of $700. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the puppy. The remaining balance must be paid in full prior to the release or delivery of the puppy to the Buyer.

    2. Health Guarantee

The Breeder guarantees that the puppy is in good health at the time of transfer and has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming treatments.

    a. The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy. If the puppy is found to have a life-threatening congenital defect or illness, the Buyer may return the puppy with a written veterinary report for a full refund or replacement of equal value.

    b. The Breeder provides a one-year health warranty against serious hereditary conditions such as liver shunt or genetic heart defects. Diagnosis must be confirmed by two independent, licensed veterinarians, and a replacement puppy of equal value will be offered.

    c. If the puppy is diagnosed with a contagious illness within seven (7) days of delivery, supported by veterinary documentation, the Buyer may return the puppy for a full refund or replacement.

    3. Shipping and Pickup

If the Buyer opts for shipping, all transportation and delivery costs are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. The Breeder agrees to ship the puppy through a reputable, insured pet courier. For local pickup, the Buyer must complete full payment before the puppy is released. Pickup is by appointment only.

    4. Payment Conditions

The total purchase price must be paid in full before the puppy is shipped or picked up. Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, or other pre-approved options. Deposits are non-refundable unless the Breeder is unable to provide the agreed-upon puppy.

    5. Buyer’s Responsibilities

The Buyer agrees to provide a safe, clean, and loving home for the puppy. The puppy must be kept primarily indoors, with proper shelter, fresh water, a nutritious diet, and routine veterinary care, including vaccinations and parasite prevention. The Buyer agrees not to rehome, sell, or surrender the puppy to a shelter or rescue without first notifying the Breeder. The Breeder retains first right of refusal if the puppy must be rehomed. Declawing is not applicable and unnecessary for this breed.

    6. Entire Agreement

This agreement represents the full and binding contract between the Breeder and the Buyer. Any changes or additions to this agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties to be valid.
